TechHire Tallahassee seeks to create a pipeline for those graduating from our institutions of higher learning, as well as those who may not be traditionally educated, that more effectively and intentionally links their talent to open positions in the area’s tech sector. By ensuring that cutting edge training, credentialing, and placement programs are working to meet the talent demands of local and regional employers, it not only allows workers to more readily fill high-paying jobs, but allows employers to grow and expand their business more rapidly. Tallahassee is committed to retaining its best and brightest and ensuring they have the skills needed to succeed in their careers, and TechHire is helping our community to take major steps.
The TechHire Tallahassee effort engages local employers in both the private and public sectors, to identify the specific skillsets and training they deem necessary for prospective employees. This outreach has been conducted in collaboration with training institutions such as TCC, Domi Ventures, CareerSource Capital Region, the Florida IT Alliance, and representatives from our Universities; and is focused on the development of a regionally recognized micro-credentialing program for local tech talent, underrepresented populations, and those interested in retooling their careers.
If you’re an employer that works in the tech sector, or in an organization that has IT needs, please take a moment to fill out a brief TechHire Talent Survey that will help guide the TechHire efforts.
